A Meaningful meeting with my Best friend
And an insightful one, too...
MY HEALING JOURNEY
Today I met a good friend of mine at a coffee shop.
This meeting place was rather unusual for us, as we usually meet at the beach or at each other’s houses.
In the morning, we thought we might cancel, since it was rainy and too windy for us to sit and have our talk at the beach, as we do most times.
I then had a second thought about that meeting setting and realized we hadn’t met for quite a while, and that what’s actually important is getting to see each other, share ideas, and see what’s going on.
We wanted to sit at a neighborhood cafe, only that was closed for the holidays, so we ended up finding another place, which, as you can already guess, made no difference for the two of us, since that wasn’t the point of seeing each other.
Topics we talked about in this Meaningful meeting with my good friend
When we arrived, we ordered and sat down to talk.
As the conversation started, my good friend told me about his plans to go on a venture to practice professional cooking abroad.
I think he sounded pretty excited about that, and I’m happy that he is, since it’s a meaningful step in his life, and I want to help him execute it right and smoothly.
We talked about the challenges he’ll face, financial planning, and the experience itself.
It’s rather hard knowing yet, before going into it and actually living there, I couldn’t really help him plan, whether he wanted my help or not.
Anyway, that was what he shared with me.
Then, it was me who shared.
I was telling how, as I look back over the last year, throughout My Healing Journey, ever since I was diagnosed with the disease that I have, it’s been a real self-improvement journey for me.
Not only did I learn a lot about holistic healing practices and implement lifestyle changes in my own life, but I also got to write this blog, for which I’m so grateful.
I told him what a revealing process it’s been to find a way I can finally express myself well in a way that’s meaningful both to others and myself, and to find a way I can cultivate my creativity and learn for a purpose, to share my knowledge with other people.
I’m really glad I’ve started.
My friend was extremely helpful with asking me the big questions, like why I do what I do here, and had also helped me in putting my feelings into words- which is because I want to pass down what I’ve learned to other people who are at the beginning of their healing journey and make it a little for them, because of sharing mistakes I personally made so they don’t have to make those themselves.
For those who want to improve their health and well-being and live more intentionally in every way, one can imagine an intentional life.
He then gave me a reader’s perspective on how I can improve my writing and ideas for posts he wants to see on my blog.
Again, I invite you to give me feedback in the contact so you can take part in this blog and so we can all share the way on for a simpler, more meaningful life, with more health and less material clutter, and you can share things you want to see here and/ share your thoughts with. I’d love to talk to you.

The end of the Meaningful meeting with my good friend
By the end of the Meaningful meeting with my good friend, I looked at my watch for the first time since we met, and by that time, it had been nearly three hours!
I guess time really does fly by when you have fun, or for that matter, have an interesting conversation with someone you like chatting with.
At the end of the meeting, we went to the pharmacy to look for supplements and discuss which would be best for each person’s unique needs.
In the end, I’m grateful to have gotten to talk with my great friend, even when the conditions aren’t ideal.
