The Sacrifice
This is the cost of healing
MY HEALING JOURNEY
There's a sentence I once heard, which I resonated with and want to share with you, and it goes something like this:
"Either you sacrifice for what you want in life, or what you want becomes the sacrifice".
I'm pretty sure I have talked about these sacrifices on this blog before. Still, I would like to elaborate more about the sacrifices I make to succeed on my healing journey toward pain relief and an overall better quality of life.
The sentence which I mentioned before comes into play many times in my daily life- when my family gathers around the dinner table and connects exactly when I take a shower to prepare my body for easier digestion of my dinner, and missing my time with them for getting the desired result- healing fully.
Another sacrifice I find myself making is learning by reading, intentionally consuming helpful content on YouTube and Netflix.
I believe this sacrifice isn't only for my healing journey. Yet, it helps there too- I hope I will keep this habit for decades to come since it gives me so much. It's a better use of my time than what I used to do, which was mindless content consumption and watching short videos with random facts I didn't even know I needed to know.
There was a time when it was nearly impossible to keep myself on course with all the delicious food I served at the café.
Anyway, more and more times are going to come where I'm going to need to choose to delay instant gratification for the better good, which is the most important thing for me.
